Community Service 2013

Community Service 2013

The employees at Brockenbrough are proud to announce the completion of our 2013 community service event. Over two days in May, approximately 20 employees built and installed a ADA ramp at a private residence in the city of Richmond. This was the culmination of a two year effort with project:HOMES. In 2012, Brockenbrough developed the construction documents for a standard design of their ramp. The drawings were needed by project:HOMES due to a code change that required sealed drawings to obtain a building permit. We then used the drawings this year to complete an actual ramp project.

project:HOMES improves the lives and living conditions of low income seniors, disabled residents and qualified homeowners in Central Virginia by making critical home repairs and improvements and by building high quality, affordable homes. Brockenbrough is grateful to have participated in such a meaningful mission.
