Jeff Haas is a professional engineer who serves as Group Lead of the Water/Wastewater/Utilities group at Brockenbrough.
Jeff has over 25 years of experience in civil, environmental, and utilities engineering. He is Brockenbrough’s primary project manager and design engineer for environmental and utilities projects. This includes water and wastewater treatment plants, water and wastewater pump stations, water storage tanks, water distribution systems, and wastewater collection systems. In this capacity, Jeff has developed working relationships with many regulatory agency personnel while obtaining their approvals and certifications for various projects. He is responsible for preparation of studies, plans, specifications, cost estimates and construction phase services.
Prior to joining Brockenbrough, Jeff worked as an Aviation Engineer for the Virginia Department of Aviation and as a Construction Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Upgrade of the Water Booster Pocono Pump Station for Chesterfield County was a memorable project for me. The project required the maintenance of 8 million gallons per day (MGD) water service, while increasing the pumping capacity to 14 MGD. The work required coordination between the civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines in our office, and communications with the County Utility Department staff.
