Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Take field measurements and notes to document existing facilities.
- Prepare accurate, well-organized and detailed CAD drawings from field measurements and notes.
- Develop construction drawing CAD sets from simple instructions demonstrating a broad knowledge of design and construction.
- Perform basic layout and design under the direction and supervision of an engineer or architect.
- Actively participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of CAD file management, standards and criteria.
- Capable of working on mechanical, electrical and structural drawings with some capacity to do civil and architectural as well.
- Able to meet project budgets, schedules and performance criteria in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel regularly to project sites and client locations is a requirement. Some travel may be international.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from a technical school.
- Autodesk certification.
- Knowledge of engineering and architecture design principles and construction methods.
- Three years of experience working with CAD in an engineering or architecture practice.
- Advanced experience with AutoCAD and Revit, plus some experience with Civil 3D.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and personal computer skills.
