Brockenbrough’s construction phase services are designed to assist clients by overseeing the work in the field and representing their best interests throughout the construction process.  The teams typically perform some type of construction administration on our design projects.  This may be as limited as reviewing and approving construction submittals, or it may be as involved as approving contractor pay requests and being the client’s on-site construction representative.

Continued involvement of architects and engineers during the construction phase helps to ensure that the completed project will reflect design intent, and that desired quality of materials and workmanship is maintained.  At Brockenbrough, continued involvement of the entire project team during construction is important.  The team takes a proactive approach to construction administration and strives to identify and solve problems before they occur.  Emphasis is on good communication and timely responses, which are critical during the construction process.  Brockenbrough offers both full and partial construction phase services.

Brockenbrough has many years of experience working as part of design-build teams on projects ranging from historic restorations to industrial and civil engineering projects.  The construction teams have worked on design-build projects for the Federal Government and private sector clients.  The value that this process can have for clients is recognized and the opportunity to collaborate on design-build projects is always welcomed.
