Facility Expansion Westminster Canterbury

About This Project

This project consisted of a $92 million expansion of an existing senior care facility.  It included full POD design and approval from both Henrico County and the City of Richmond. As a sub-consultant to THW Design, Inc. (Architects), Brockenbrough provided the survey and civil engineering design for the expansion.

Additional civil design included site demolition, site grading, road improvements, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, erosion control, water distribution, sanitary sewer system, natural gas lines, storm sewer system, stormwater management and a secondary drainage system. All of these items were coordinated with the Project Architect, Landscape Architect, Owner and two governmental entities (Henrico County and the City of Richmond). The project also included coordination of logistics to minimize impact to the existing facility and its operations during construction activities.
