Craig Matthews is a professional engineer and currently serves as the Principal of our Buildings group. In this role he is responsible for all clients in the Building market sector, he serves as the Principal for all our building/vertical projects, and he manages the architectural, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing and structural disciplines at Brockenbrough.
With almost 30 years of experience, Craig is responsible for the review of all electrical designs originating at Brockenbrough. Projects include manufacturing facilities, boiler facilities, fuel storage/pumping facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, water pumping systems, site lighting, commercial/office build-outs including interior power and lighting, emergency power and UPS systems, primary distribution, load analysis and control systems. He is experienced in scoping, cost estimating, field investigations, systems analysis, design, construction administration, and overseeing start-ups.
Prior to his work at Brockenbrough, Craig worked for Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company as a Senior Electrical Engineer. He was responsible for the design and specifications of facilities and equipment used for refueling U.S. Naval Nuclear Reactors.
